Curtis and Steve Barlowe custom built our home in 2005. It was my first building experience and I had heard so many nightmare stories about the process, I simply dreaded the thought. When Curtis met with us he said, “I promise, with us it won’t be a nightmare.” They kept that promise. They worked with me from the very start to the very finish. Their pride and devotion to their work and to the homeowner shows in the finished product. No one but the Barlowe Brothers would build another home for us!

Dave and I met with several contractors prior to selecting Barlowe Construction. It was a decision that we have never regretted. Our home plans were selected from a magazine. Not only did Barlowe build our home to specifications, but made several suggestions through the building phase that greatly enhanced the overall structure and design. Our home was completed on schedule and is a true testament to the expertise and professionalism of an extremely competent builder. The quality of workmanship is unsurpassed. We were told that during construction Curtis would be there when work was in progress. This was a true promise. Even after 5 years we know this to be a fact. Any problems or concerns have been resolved immediately. We would recommend Barlowe Construction without hesitation. Should we decide to build again there is no doubt in our minds that they would be the only contractor we would contact.

When we decided to build our new home, many friends thought we were crazy? We weren’t so sure ourselves – our first house building experience had been a nightmare! It was evident early on that your word was important. Promises made were promises kept, resulting in a trusting relationship, and now a lifelong friendship. Pretty important stuff whenever you build, particularly when doing it long distance (Michigan). You kept us informed, provided expert guidance, and always searched for the best/requested materials, at the lowest possible price. We remember you saying early on, that our home would be constructed as if it were your own. There can be no doubt that you fulfilled your commitment; we thank you. It really does not get any better than having your home finished on time, oozing quality, and within budget. In other words… Barlowe Brothers built!
